Protocol 3 - Types and Quantity of Road Vehicles
The Protocol describes the Type of Vehicle to be used and the Quantity of Vehicles approved for transit operations. It also defines the terminology used in the protocol for precise implementation of Protocol 3. Please note that based on a subsequent agreement by the Ministers of Transport of ASEAN, the number of vehicles to be issued with permits to operate under the ACTS has been increased to 500 per country.
This protocol will be under the jurisdiction of the Ministries of Transport.
